Travel RN – Ambulatory Surgery (Operating Room) – Days

• Involves patients and/or significant others in decisions regarding care and assesses educational needs and learning abilities, documenting findings in the computerized care plan.
• Develops and maintains individualized plans of care that include identified problems, nursing diagnoses, interventions, and goals with target dates to promote optimal health, healing, or dignified end of life.
• Performs patient handoffs utilizing patient safety tools such as SBAR and Report at Bedside, both shift-to-shift and interdepartmentally.
• Maintains effective communication through appropriate use of the chain of command and communicates subjective and objective patient data with the multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitates communication of pertinent findings with physicians and participates in rounds as appropriate.
• Participates in process improvement activities including data collection, in-services, and unit meetings as required.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Missouri state licensure required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery, with Critical Care, Pre-op, and/or PACU experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

• Experience in an ambulatory surgery or operating room setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Familiarity with trauma care protocols and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to stay current on unit-based communications including huddles and email updates
