Overview
Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C., is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic veterinary technicians to join our Emergency and ICU teams. If you’ve developed a taste for emergency medicine and enjoy being part of a collaborative, diverse team, we’d love to meet you!
About the role:
In this fast-paced position, you’ll work closely with ER/ECC doctors, fellow technicians, and assistants to provide high-quality emergent care. Ideal candidates are confident in triage, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, history taking, and anesthesia monitoring, and are committed to teamwork, multitasking, and continuous skill development.
- Collaborate with ER/ECC doctors, technicians, and assistants to deliver emergent care
- Perform triage, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, history taking, and anesthesia monitoring
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Contribute to a teamwork-driven, learning-focused environment
This is a full-time position. Schedule is usually four 10-hour shifts per week with some flexibility. Some weekends and holidays are required.

- Credentialed veterinary technician preferred
- 1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician required
- Recover certification is a plus, but not required
