- QC Technician I: $19.00–$22.00/hour
- QC Technician II: $23.00–$27.00/hour
- QC Technician III: $28.00–$34.00/hour
Level and compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Quality Control Technician will play a critical role in ensuring packaged products meet established quality, food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements before shipment.
This position will perform in-process inspections, line checks, product sampling and testing, packaging inspections, documentation, and quality verification on the manufacturing floor. The technician will identify and document defects or deviations, upscale nonconforming products, and work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues while maintaining food safety and product standards.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in food, pet food, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, SOPs, and quality systems
. - Experience with in-process inspections, line checks, product sampling/testing, and documentation
. - Understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Ability to identify, document, and escalate nonconforming products or process conditions
. - Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to work independently on a manufacturing floor, including during off-shifts
. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Inspect packaged products for weight, dimensions, appearance, labeling, and overall quality
. - Perform in-process inspections, line checks, sampling, and testing
. - Verify packaging materials and processes meet applicable quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements
. - Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, deviations, and quality activities.
- Identify, document, and reject products or materials that do not meet established quality requirements.
- Investigate quality issues and assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
. - Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality issues without compromising food safety or product quality.
- Monitor manufacturing processes for compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and established quality standards
. - Communicate quality concerns, trends, and potential risks to Production and Quality leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and quality enhancement
. - Support continuous improvement, quality, and food safety initiatives.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all applicable safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Entry-level or developing Quality Control professional.
- Performs routine inspections, line checks, sampling, testing, and documentation.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of GMPs, food safety, SOPs, and quality requirements.
