The Dangerous Organizations and Individuals (DOI) Policy team is seeking a contractor for a one year project with the possibility of extension.

In an effort to prevent and disrupt real-world harm, Meta uses its DOI policies to designate organizations and individuals that proclaim a violent or hateful mission or are engaged in violence or hate. The development of new designations and the review of our existing designation list is an important part of Meta’s work to keep our users safe. The successful candidate for this role will undertake detailed research and high quality drafting in support of our efforts to review our existing designations list.

Additionally, the candidate will conduct basic investigations on Meta platforms to identify potential enforcement gaps.

Successful candidates will have strong research and writing skills in order to articulate findings through both written products and briefings. In addition, Meta is looking for collaborative candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, team-centric environment. The right candidate will be committed to countering online violent extremism and hate while being passionate about the positive power of social media.
