The Server is responsible for providing dining and table services to residents and guests in the community’s dining rooms and designated areas in accordance with Grand Oaks standards. Responsible for proper dining set up, providing meal and dining services and cleaning of the dining rooms. Responsible for handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state, and local regulatory procedures regarding food service.

EducationHigh school diploma/GED accepted.
Previous experience in dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living preferred.
Essential Functions General Dining Service Duties- Has knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and can provide general description to the residents and guests.
- Assists residents with menu selections and responds to pertinent questions about menu items.
- Responsible for taking meal and beverage orders and serving requested items according to established guidelines.
- Responds to the dining needs of the residents and guests while maintaining Grand Oaks hospitality and service standards.
- Attends pre-meal briefing to gain knowledge of the meal and meal support activities.
- Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
- Maintains standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
- Maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance, and readiness.
- Performs and completes side work duties as assigned.
- Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes the Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information.
- Reviews Resident Diet Book, confidential Diet Board/Indicator, Data Card, or Chart.
- Safe food handling is practiced at all times to prevent an outbreak of food borne illness.
- Assists in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization, and supplies placement.
- Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations.
- Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), and Lockout Tagout procedures.
- Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals.
- Attends regular meetings;
Town Hall, Department Team Meetings, Cross Over, and others as directed by the Supervisor/Department Coordinator.

Minimum 17.76/hour - Maximum 28.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
