• Engage with team members to ensure appropriate onboarding, training, and development.
• Identify talent and conduct career discussions to support staffing and a diversified talent pipeline.
• Conduct candid performance discussions to uphold Meijer standards and foster growth.
• Accountable for area operations and financial results, implementing corporate plans to maximize sales and productivity while managing budget line items.
• Drive safety and compliance throughout the store, managing overall condition and following all procedures.
• Ensure Team Leaders assign daily work assignments and meet training needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail, grocery, or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion for providing industry‑leading service.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to give clear, precise direction.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
• Proactive, creative thinking applied to business challenges.
• Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and drive sales and market share.
• Strong business acumen and innovative attitude.
