Overview of the Company

Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.

These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

WTTG/WDCA – Account Executive (Regular Full-Time)

Our newsroom provides comprehensive coverage of local and national news stories across multiple platforms such as broadcast, digital, and web. The FOX 5 Sales Team has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to generate digital and broadcast advertising revenue for Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia’s top local television station. The ideal candidate will work alongside a dynamic team of sales individuals. This person will be responsible for growing an established book of business as well as generate new business, sell OTT/CTV platforms, and sell unique multi-screen promotional sponsor ships. Work independently and with sales management to implement strategies to maintain strong client and agency relationships, consistently grow revenue, and exceed revenue goals.

Present and negotiate all aspects of the Stations and digital offerings. Deliver unique and valuable packages to new and existing clients. Meet and communicate with clients regularly to help expedite the closing process. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients. Process transactional business. Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertising schedules. Timely management of accounts and administrative tasks.

Maintain a high level of communication with station and corporate management, sales staff, and all station personnel. Participate in sales trainings and meetings.

• 3+ years professional experience in Video advertising Sales, Account Management, and/or Business Development.
• College degree preferred.
• Digital Ad sales savvy.
• Experience developing new business, with a record of digital success.
• Skilled negotiator and motivator.
• Excellent organizational, time management, written & verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and cloud-based communication applications. Experience with Wide Orbit preferred.
• Ability to accurately forecast revenue based on client pending and pipelines.

Must have or be willing to obtain reliable transportation and have a valid driver’s license. Local travel and entertainment are required. Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed. FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a 24/7 operation.
