At New School Foods, our mission is to accelerate the transition to a kinder, healthier, alt-protein-first food system. Using our proprietary production technology, we create zero-compromise meat alternatives designed to enable global impact. Our healthy, whole-cut, plant-based filets are made to look, cook, taste and flake just like fish. All with a lower carbon footprint, and zero harm to the ocean.

This will be our first sales hire in the US, giving you the opportunity to build the playbook for sales. Working along our Canadian sales team, you will help grow our reach in restaurants, venues and distributors throughout NYC and the surrounding area.

• Identify and qualify potential partners (restaurants, distributors, hospitality groups, etc.)
• Conduct in-person sales calls including live cooking demos of the product.
• Establish ongoing communication with partners.
• Seek out feedback and share with the team.
• Support new partners with training, resources, and ongoing support.
• Track success of sales goals.
• Share progress with senior leadership and team.

• 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in sales, revenue ops, or similar roles.
• Comfortable cold-calling in person and over the phone.
• Excellent verbal and written communication is a necessity.
• Experience working in restaurants or kitchens is a big asset.
• Ability to cook simple dishes with instruction.
• Superb organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid passport for occasional travel to our head office in Toronto, Canada.

This position is based in Washington, DC with some travel to the surrounding area.
