Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Officer! Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard? What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

• Set schedule: open availability for scheduling required for weekdays and weekends (mornings, evenings, and overnights). Must be able to travel through DC, MD, and VA, and must pass various background checks depending on site needs. This is not guaranteed full‑time.
• Competitive hourly wage of $24.00 / hr (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees!)

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on‑site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process
• First‑aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Security, military, or law‑enforcement experience – even better!
• State license if required
• Responsible for visiting various sites
• Ensure all officers are working the post to standard and in correct uniform
• Must be comfortable traveling through DC, MD, VA
• Must pass various background checks based on site needs
