Security Guard / Special Police Officer (Full‑Time)

We are seeking a Security Guard / Special Police Officer (Full‑Time) at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health. The role involves protecting patients, personnel, and property, enforcing District of Columbia laws and policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.

• Provide safety and security services throughout the facility.
• Enforce laws and policies of the District of Columbia and the hospital.
• Determine appropriate actions during emergency situations.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security and/or supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 21 years of age and U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Police Officer (SPO) commission issued by the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department. Requirements for an SPO include:
• Physical fitness and drug screening.
• Fingerprint and background check.
• Good moral character and English language proficiency.
• Physically and psychologically fit to perform the duties of a special officer as certified by a licensed physician.
