SAIC is looking for a Special Security Representative (SSR) to support and administer the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program for the DHS S&T Directorate. The SSR will ensure compliance with federal regulations, executive orders, and Intelligence Community Standards while supporting secure SCIF operations, managing personnel access, and overseeing classified material handling. Working closely with the DHS Office of the Chief Security Officer and the Special Security Officer team, the SSR ensures timely delivery of SCI services and secure operations for DHS employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesSCIF Security and Maintenance:
- Maintain SCI directives, manuals, SOPs, and emergency plans, ensuring annual reviews and compliance.
- Coordinate SCIF inspections, security reviews, intrusion detection system testing, emergency plan tests, and self-inspections.
- Respond to after-hours SCIF alarm notifications, conduct SCIF close-out inspections, and facilitate de-accreditation.
Personnel Security and Training:
- Validate SCIF access rosters and process visit requests via Scattered Castles and ISMS systems.
- Assist with SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, and clearance verifications for DHS employees.
- Provide and coordinate required annual SCI refresher training and security threat briefings.
Operations Support:
- Assist with JWICS account management (e.g., password resets, account activation/reactivation).
- Ensure proper classification labeling of information systems and appropriate handling of classified materials.
- Manage PIV card access, IDS PINs, and secure courier procedures for classified assets.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Security Management or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience managing SCI programs, preferably in an IC, DoD, or DHS environment.
- Must have active TS/SCI requiring U.S. Citizenship.
- In-depth knowledge of SCI security policies (e.g., ICD 705, EO 13526).
- Experience with SCIF operations, inspections, and security systems (JWICS, Scattered Castles, ISMS).
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to address after-hours security needs.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
