Job Summary

Licensed Part‑time Journeyman Electrician for the DOE facility in Washington, DC. The position requires or must obtain an L level Security Clearance.

Schedule:

Wednesday–Friday 3:00 pm‑11:00 pm. Covered by the CBA for Local 99.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs all electrical trade functions necessary to install, maintain
  • Inspects, maintains, cleans, repairs, tests, and adjusts electrical equipment including motors, switch gear, circuit breakers, lighting circuits, switches, master clocks, and distribution panels
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service calls
  • Perform inspections
  • Supervise subcontractors
  • Troubleshoot
Qualifications
  • Must have a current Journeyman Electrician License (DC or MD)
  • Must currently have or be able to obtain an L Level Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an Electrician
  • General knowledge of motors, switch gear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Troubleshooting skill
  • Ability to work the schedule of Wednesday–Friday 3pm–11pm
