Position: Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack - Java Springs, React, PostgreSQL)
Overview

The Senior Software Developer will lead the design and development of a new application. This role will design and implement backed APIs using Java Spring Boot, build secure and responsive UIs in React, and develop optimized Postgre

SQL schemas and queries. The role will deliver large-scale enterprise applications from concept through deployment.

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack design and development using Java Spring Boot and React.

• Design and implement normalized Postgre

SQL schemas and entity relationships supporting system scalability.

• Develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs for data access and integration.

• Implement modern UI components using React, Type Script/JavaScript, and reusable design patterns.

• Lead and document data migration efforts, ensuring integrity and consistency between legacy and new systems.

• Plan and execute application deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Mentor mid-level developers and provide technical leadership.

• Ensure compliance with 508 accessibility, enterprise security practices, and other practices as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development; 5+ years working with Java Spring Boot; 3+ years React.

• Strong experience with Postgre

SQL database design, normalization, and optimization.

• Proven success delivering enterprise-scale web applications (10k+ users).

• Demonstrated experience leading application deployments and upgrades.

• Top Secret Clearance required.

• Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

• Must be self‑motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi‑functional team.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
