Fullstack Engineer ; Java + Ruby Or React

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join a highly collaborative engineering team focused on building scalable, reliable, and exceptional digital experiences. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while contributing to both frontend and backend development.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play an important role in shaping technical direction, contributing to architectural decisions, and delivering customer-facing applications that support strategic business initiatives. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers while also mentoring teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable full-stack software solutions.
• Build and enhance customer-facing applications that support key business initiatives.
• Contribute to technical architecture, system design, and engineering decisions.
• Develop backend services using Java or Kotlin and work within Ruby on Rails environments.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-impact features.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Work with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Participate in database design and development using technologies such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Review pull requests and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to other engineers.
• Participate in pair programming, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Deploy production-ready code and contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Help evolve existing systems and contribute to the modernization of legacy applications.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies, design patterns, and engineering practices.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Professional experience working with Ruby on Rails environments.
• Hands-on experience building applications with React and related ecosystem tools.
• Experience with Node.js and npm.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Git, Type Script, IDEs, version control, and deployment tools.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and GraphQL.
• Solid knowledge of database design fundamentals.
• Experience developing scalable and maintainable software in production environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and a user-centric engineering mindset.
• Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.

• Experience implementing or maintaining Kafka-based event streaming solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Elixir.
• Experience decomposing monolithic applications into microservices.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience working with AWS services, particularly AWS Lambda.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience with GraphQL in production environments.
• Familiarity with modern software architecture and cloud-native development practices.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, luxury goods, sustainability, resale, or circular economy environments.
