Entry Level Software Engineer

Skill Storm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll start with 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real team-based projects, then deploy directly to an enterprise or government client, effective day one. You don't pay for this program; it's a paid role from the start, with a clear path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."

We're looking for people early in their technical careers, including recent graduates, career changers with a technical foundation, and transitioning service members and veterans. If you have the fundamentals and the drive, and you want a structured way into enterprise software work, this is built for you.

• A bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar)
• At least 1 year of technical work experience

You'll also need a working knowledge of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language like Java or C#.

• Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
• Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
• Willingness to relocate for client placement
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on Skill Storm's W2 (no C2C arrangements)

• Build and enhance applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools
• Write clean, efficient, well-structured code that meets professional standards
• Troubleshoot and fix defects, and provide technical support and resolution
• Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
• Support testing and production deployment, and maintain technical documentation
• Stay current on industry tools and techniques through ongoing training
