CTG is seeking a

Software Developer

to design and lead scalable, secure, mission-driven technical solutions supporting federal modernization initiatives. This role focuses on end-to-end solution architecture across applications, integrations, cloud environments, APIs, and enterprise systems while partnering closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and delivery teams.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services
• Translate business and product requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions
• Build backend services and APIs using Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and OpenJDK
• Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs
• Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL and implement application integrations and data flows
• Collaborate with engineering, Dev Sec Ops , infrastructure, and product teams to deliver software
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, cloud adoption, and application modernization
• Apply secure coding practices and support performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Document technical solutions and development processes

• A hands-on software developer who enjoys solving technical problems and building reliable applications
• Strong in backend development, API development, application integration, and distributed systems
• Comfortable with modern development frameworks, databases, and cloud technologies
• A collaborative, proactive problem-solver who values clean, maintainable code
• Adaptable and comfortable working in an agile development environmen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and OpenJDK
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Understanding of software development principles, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with version control, testing, debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD
• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops , secure coding, and modern software delivery practices
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

• Experience with Angular, React, Type Script, or Java Script
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, serverless, or cloud-native development
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, Zero Trust, or IAM integrations
• Experience supporting federal government agencies

We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $75k–$110k annually
