Part-Time On-Call Truck Driver

One Federal Solution is seeking a Part-Time On-Call Truck Driver to support a government client in the DMV area. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a commercial truck to transport goods and materials within the designated area. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record and be Public Trust eligible.

Truck Driver Key Responsibilities

• Operate a truck to transport materials within the DMV area, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods as required by the government client.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and fuel usage.
• Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
• Adhere to security and confidentiality guidelines when handling sensitive materials.

Truck Driver Qualifications

• Valid CDL (if required for vehicle class) and a clean driving record.
• Must be Public Trust eligible and able to pass a background check.
• Prior experience driving commercial or government vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia traffic routes and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift and move materials if needed.

Truck Driver Expected Hours

• This is a part-time, on-call position. Assignments begin as early as 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and shift length will vary depending on the duration of each job. Evening hours are not available. Candidates must be flexible and available to report when called, with the understanding that hours are not guaranteed and are based on client needs.
