ASL Para educator / Interpreter (Primary Grades)
Schedule:Part‑time, 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Hours:16.25 per week
Location:Rochester, WA
Start Date:ASAP
Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated ASL Para educator or Interpreter to support a primary‑age student in an inclusive classroom setting. The ideal candidate will provide communication access, foster student independence, and collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide daily ASL interpretation and support for a primary‑age student.
- Assist with classroom instruction, activities, and peer interaction.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies.
- Support student engagement, social development, and academic participation.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience working with young children in educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
