Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $/yr

The Composites Application Engineer bridges innovation and execution — leading customers from concept through manufacturable reality. You’ll serve as client’s technical front line, transforming ideas into engineered solutions that reflect the precision, pride, and performance we stand for.
This is a high‑impact role where your composite expertise, analytical skills, and customer engagement will shape programs that fly across the globe.
What You’ll Do:- Lead technical responses to RFQs/RFPs, developing accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Translate customer concepts into manufacturable composite designs, ensuring performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Review drawings, ply books, and specifications for design‑for‑manufacturability (DFM).
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams — Engineering, Sales, Program Management, and Production.
- Support technical marketing, trade shows, and direct customer interactions to grow client’s impact.
- Continuously improve quoting, costing, and manufacturing readiness through process analysis and collaboration.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or related field) — or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in composite manufacturing, engineering, or technical sales.
- Expertise in prepreg materials, compression/bladder molding, tooling design, and DFM principles.
- Proficiency in Excel‑based cost modeling and ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent communication skills — able to simplify the complex and inspire confidence in customers.
- A proactive mindset with the curiosity and drive to solve challenging technical problems.
Direct report to Business Development Manager
- Works with the Sales Department and collaborates with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Management for problem solving and continuous improvement
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
