HMG is seeking a reliable and safety-minded Environmental Compliance Technician I. This position primarily handles hazardous waste pickups, processing, shipment, spill response, and pump truck operations for waste and septic systems. Additional duties include performing inspections and documenting results per Navy requirements. This role requires strict adherence to WA State Dangerous Waste Regulations, EPA Federal Rules, and Navy environmental stan
** Typical duties include but are not limited to:
** Perform environmental sampling, field testing, and documentation for wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous materials programs. Maintain accurate operating records, inspection logs, and environmental compliance reports.

Determine and wear proper PPE, including respirators and protective gear, during spill response and waste handling tasks.

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency environmental incidents within one hour as required.

Assist in implementing and monitoring environmental programs to ensure contract compliance with Navy standards.

* Qualifications:

** 0- 3 years' experience in Environmental Field Familiarity with military equipment and facilities.

** Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.  May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
