Janicki Industries is an innovative, family‑owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. This position is located on‑site in Hamilton, Washington State.

Position Description

Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for all activities that are carried out to successfully complete an assigned project. Activities may include interaction with customers, development of SOW, design work, schedule management, manufacturing process development, and manufacturing support. Ideal candidates are eager to learn and work through complex engineering challenges in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities
  • Maintain an overview of production processes and facilities, and work with Management and Production personnel to develop and implement improvements for optimal results.
  • Assist with creating and managing new production processes/procedures to better aid in the completion of composite tooling and/or resolve any problems that may have occurred during the production of the tool.
  • Reissue and/or reconstruct production processes as new technology is developed.
  • Plan and coordinate standard manufacturing processes on the Production Floor.
  • Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommend changes in product or test method.
  • Work with Project Managers to identify and mitigate risk in the production process.
  • Comply with Safety, 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices.
  • Develop detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.
  • File, retrieve and maintain engineering drawings, records, revisions and updates as needed.
  • Draft detail drawings or sketches to convey technical information.
  • Maintain awareness of the project schedule for each project as it moves through the value stream to meet key deadlines.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, equipment and workspace requirements for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines, and demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Be on time and maintain good attendance.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Janicki will assist with gaining this clearance once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory.
Education/Experience
  • Train:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering Technology, Industrial Design Technology, or a similar field.
  • Experience:

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office, skill with Catia, NX Unigraphics, and SAP desirable.
  • Communication:
    Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge:
    Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Problem‑solving:
    Ability to rely on extensive experience, problem‑solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Additional Information
  • Salary range: $83,000 – $148,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees may receive additional pay for off‑shifts. The range is an estimate of base compensation; actual offers are based on job‑related and non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
