The Role
Windsor is seeking motivated individuals who love to learn and grow their skills, and who want to help teammates do the same. As a Civil Designer, you will support project teams in delivering innovative infrastructure solutions under the guidance of experienced professionals in municipal and land development departments. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise through hands‑on experience with CAD design, technical documents, and other modeling software.
You will work closely with project teams to translate engineering concepts into detailed designs while maintaining Windsor’s commitment to quality.
- Demonstrate Windsor’s core values through positive representation and strong relationship building.
- Assist Project Engineers with a wide variety of infrastructure projects.
- Perform drafting and modeling using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit software.
- Conduct basic design computations, preliminary layout and design drawings, research, and prepare rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
- Assist with project plans and specifications, preparing cost and quantity take‑off estimates.
- Bring an enthusiastic approach to your work daily, with a willingness to see challenges as opportunities.
- Participate in continuous learning of industry standards and codes.
- Complete site visits as needed.
- 1‑4 years of experience in CAD, Civil 3D modeling and drafting (coursework counts).
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a similar accredited degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to prepare, read, and understand technical documents.
- Ability to perform drafting and modeling in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of basic MS Office skills including Word and Excel.
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills, and team orientation.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Self‑Managed PTO:
