Safety Coordinator – Corteva Agriscience

- Promotes environment health and safety conscious work performance
- Implements environment health and safety (EH&S) programs and training
- Tracks and monitors EH&S performance
- Ensures compliance with EH&S laws, standards and regulations
- Investigates accidents
- Plans safety improvement plans for the site
- Conducts root cause analysis
- Provides functional guidance and coaching to other EH&S resources
- Provides advice and guidance to facilities on EH&S issues and compliance
- Develops and communicates EH&S messages across the company to help build and maintain EH&S culture
- Ensures implementation of safety standards applicable to the operation
- Manages and tracks EHS&S employee and company records
- Provides reports to the Site Lead to support EHS&S culture management and improvements
- Leads all EHS&S subjects in site projects
- Leads Safety Subcommittee assignment
- Plans and provides training for full‑time and temporary employees
- Supervises and develops talent
- Balances, prioritizes, and plans trainings for all employees on time
- Reviews incident trends and provides root‑cause analysis regarding safety events
- Detects incorrect behaviors and leads the culture‑changing process, using mindful examples and persuasion skills
- Implements EHS&S country legal requirements and stays updated on changes to lead implementation if needed
- Decides timing and priority for EHS&S trainings
- Supports decisions on disciplinary action for employees based on EHS&S non‑compliance
- Evaluates the quality of root‑cause reports for safety incidents and defines if improvements are needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proactive problem‑solving mindset with a solutions focus
- Values the safety of self and coworkers; willingly participates in safe work practices and safety programs
- Willing and able to work in environments that include climbing stairs/ladders and working at heights, standing or walking for extended periods, frequent bending and reaching, and working outdoors and in inclement weather
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs
- Established credibility through at least 2 years of experience in production, operations, or manufacturing safety, or a related field
- Experience implementing and coaching on safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Experience with audits and observations; brings fresh perspective to safety practices
- Open to occasional overtime to meet business needs, outages, and turnaround times
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
- OSHA training certifications

The salary range for this position is $67,170.00 to $83,960.00. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay will be determined when an employment offer is made.
