As Accounting Lead, you’ll partner closely with our CFO, work with the accounting team, and help refine processes and reporting that support responsible decision‑making and organizational integrity.

The Accounting Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the credit union’s financial reporting. You’ll manage general ledger accounting functions, maintain strong internal controls, and produce timely financial reports that support leadership and strategic planning.

You’ll oversee month‑end and year‑end closing cycles, lead general ledger reconciliation, and prepare detailed financial statements and board reporting. As the primary owner of our quarterly NCUA 5300 Call Report, you’ll ensure all submissions are complete, compliant, and well‑documented. You’ll also partner with the accounting manager and accounting team to enhance key workflows, provide financial guidance across departments, and refine reporting to support long‑term growth.

You’re an accounting professional with a strong command of financial reporting, internal controls, and the operational realities of a credit union. You understand how to translate accounting standards and regulatory requirements into accurate financials, reliable processes, and clear analysis for leaders across the organization.

You have a degree in accounting or finance and at least five years of relevant experience‑preferably within a credit union or similar regulated financial environment. You’re confident in financial analysis and balance precision with practicality, ensuring financial data is both accurate and meaningful. You enjoy building and refining processes, mentoring others, and digging into the details to understand the "why" behind the numbers—not just the mechanics of producing them.
