The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information, and ensuring this is documented timely and accurately. Consistently provides superior customer service that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients, visitors, physicians, and PHS staff, including during periods of high patient volume or stressful situations.

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service or healthcare registration.

• Coursework/Training – Some college-level coursework particularly in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance.
• National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) upon hire.
• Registrar and third-party payer experience.

Posted wage range for this position: $17.45 - $26.73. Additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
