Reports to: PSIS Superintendent
Location: Paschal Sherman Indian School, Omak, WA
Basic Functions: This is a non-exempt position. Manages the overall organization and supervision of the residential home living assistants/paraprofessionals and is responsible for ensuring the safety and well being of residential students at all times.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree (Masters Degree in Social Work preferred) with a minimum of five (5) years experience managing and supervising staff and a minimum of three (3) years experience working with Native American children and families experiencing inter-generational trauma.
- Typically requires course work in alcohol/substance abuse counseling.
- Requires a valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Requires submitting any transcripts/proof of degree, certifications, and three written letters of recommendation upon applying.
- Requires knowledge of and experience in working with Native American children.
- Requires knowledge of and experience in managing such as scheduling shifts and mandated professional training schedules.
- Requires ability to plan, develop, and implement a well-organized orientation program for returning and new staff.
- Requires ability to direct and supervise Home Living Assistants and Para Professionals in their daily activities outlined in the PSIS Residential Program Policies and Procedures and their job descriptions.
- Requires ability to ensure all ISEP records are in compliance and follow regulations.
- Requires ability to maintain strict confidentiality as well as signing an oath of confidentiality.

Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing
. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
