Patient Scheduling Coordinator - Part Time

Our new rural satellite clinic is seeking a friendly, organized Part‑Time Patient Scheduling Coordinator to support front desk operations. This position manages provider calendars, schedules appointments, verifies insurance, and welcomes patients to the clinic. Because we serve a small community and accept walk‑ins, the ideal candidate must be able to think on feet and remain calm during stressful situations while providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
  • Verify insurance coverage before visits
  • Greet, check in, and register patients
  • Support front desk operations, phones, and patient inquiries
  • Adjust schedules for walk‑ins and same‑day needs
  • Maintain accurate patient and insurance information
Qualifications
  • Preference for those with experience in healthcare, customer service, or scheduling
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable using (or learning) EHR systems
  • Able to work independently in a small‑clinic setting
