Substance Use Disorder Professional role at NORTHEAST WASHINGTON ALLIANCE COUNSELING SERVICES
NewABH is seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our multidisciplinary team serving Ferry, Lincoln, and Stevens Counties. This role delivers essential assessment, treatment, education, and outreach services designed to prevent or reduce the harmful effects of alcohol and drug use in our communities. The SUDP also supports individuals with co‑occurring mental health needs and collaborates closely with community partners to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
ResponsibilitiesConduct WAC‑compliant substance use assessments; provide individual and group treatment using evidence-based practices; support access to detox and residential services; collect urinalyses; deliver outreach and education in the community; coordinate care with courts, schools, social services, and healthcare providers; maintain strong clinical documentation; and commit to evidence-supported interventions, including referral pathways for FDA‑approved Medication-Assisted Treatment. The SUDP actively participates in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development to support high‑quality, integrated services across NEWACS programs.
Qualifications- Associate degree in substance use disorders, or successful completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits in substance use disorder courses from an approved school.
- Credentialed as a "Substance Use Disorder Professional" (SUDP) by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Two years prior experience in substance abuse or related field strongly preferred.
- Must have driver's license, vehicle insurance, and ability to use own vehicle if agency vehicle is not available.
- Abstract of driving record for past three years required.
- Satisfactory criminal history background check results are a condition of employment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
$29.70–$39.87 per hour
