Ancillary Services Manager

The Ancillary Services Manager holds a critical operational role, ensuring Laboratory and Radiology department performance meets state and federal regulatory compliance, HIPAA, and guest relations standards. The role partners across the organization to create a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Laboratory and Radiology department activities and technical staff.
- Monitor operational status, quality control, and quality assurance to guarantee accurate, timely patient care.
- Develop, interpret, and apply departmental policies, procedures, budgets, billing practices, and long‑range plans.
- Maintain the charge master and ensure legal reimbursement optimization.
- Prepare inspection reports and lead proficiency testing; provide corrective action.
- Supervise staff workflow; conduct interview, hire, train, coach, discipline, and evaluate employees.
- Continue improvement initiatives and uphold high operational standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
- ASCP or AMT certification and five years of clinical experience.
- Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomy License.
- 2+ years of leadership experience, including project management, performance metrics, and employee engagement.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and meeting‑management skills.
- Experience maintaining laboratory licensure and inspections by the Washington Department of Health.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.
- Master’s in Business Administration or biological sciences.
- Active membership in national registries such as ASCP.
- 3–5 years managing a Laboratory and Radiology department in a rural hospital.
- Experience in executive leadership, strategic planning, and employee engagement.
- Laboratory and Radiology contract negotiation experience.
- Union environment experience.
- Interest in mentoring, teaching, and development opportunities.
All final candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre‑employment drug screening inclusive of THC testing.

Salary: $153,000 – $160,000 per year
