* Job Description:

** - Perform a variety of radiographic procedures at a technical level without constant supervision.

- Conduct general diagnostic, portable, bedside, and Computed Tomography (CT) exams.

- Utilize sound judgment and radiologic skills to obtain high-quality images while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

- Collaborate with patients to gather essential history related to requested exams.

- Adapt communication based on the age and mental status of patients for maximum understanding.

- Assess patient conditions to ensure optimal exam performance method.

- Guide patients through equipment use and expected procedures.

- Swiftly notify nursing personnel of any changes in patient conditions.

- Maintain and update exam descriptions to accurately reflect procedures performed.

- Review radiology charge reports for accurate billing of patient accounts.

- Consult with radiologists and communicate changes to referring providers as needed.

- Complete on-line forms promptly upon exam completion to ensure timely reporting.

- Explain procedures to patients to promote cooperation and reduce anxiety.

- Operate radiographic and CT equipment within the department efficiently.

- Utilize portable and C-Arm equipment in hospital and operating room settings.

- Demonstrate proper use of personal protective gear and sterile techniques when necessary.

- Inspect contrast media and solutions for expiration before use.

- Follow department protocols for imaging views, cassette size, and positioning.

- Implement necessary immobilization devices for patient safety.

- Adjust technical factors based on patient age, anatomy, and physiology.

- Review images for quality and repeat views judiciously as needed.

- Ensure all imaging states are accurately presented and submitted for interpretation.

- Follow safety standards in operating assigned equipment and report malfunctions immediately.

- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

- Collaborate with healthcare team members and remain engaged in professional development.
