Senior Salesforce Developer/Architect

Location:

Remote but should be local to Washington, D.C. area

Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and self-starting Senior Salesforce Developer/Architect to join a web application development team. This position involves enhancing the current Salesforce platform, which includes CRM, KM, and a Public Portal, by leveraging out-of-the-box features and custom development. The successful candidate will be involved in the full development life-cycle from technical design to deployment in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on technical Salesforce development and implementations, focusing on delivering functional solutions on the  platform.

Work with senior team members to analyze and translate business requirements into customized solutions.

Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, page layouts, flows, integration, and validation rules.

Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices and perform peer code reviews.

Provide development support from design through testing and deployment.

Assist with quality testing, including creating test scripts and training artifacts.

Implement, deploy, and document projects that leverage the  toolset.

Support the live application post-delivery and perform knowledge transfer activities.

Stay current with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends to recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in I.T. or a related field is required.
8+ years of related experience is required.

Salesforce Platform Developer I and II, App Builder, and Administrator certifications are required.

Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model and best practices.

Experience with Salesforce platform programming languages such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component framework, and Managed Packages.

Proficiency in web application development, including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
5.Lightning Component development experience and familiarity with the Lightning Design System framework.

Experience with declarative  development tools such as Process Builder, Visual Workflow, and Lightning App Builder.

Ability to follow established Salesforce development standards and best practices.

Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
