Delivery Specialist – O'Reilly Auto Parts

Compensation Pay Range
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, with possible multiple premiums if criteria are met.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicles, including cleanliness, maintenance, daily inspections, and securing keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and collected monies.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tanks are filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, such as customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders.
• Assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Valid driving record meeting the company’s 14/18‑point system.
• Possession of a legally required state driver’s license and meeting company eligibility requirements.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
