Graduate Extern role at Daviess Community Hospital
.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the ACU setting under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Communicates with supervising RN, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with eligibility to sit for NCLEX exam within 45 days of hire.
- BLS
- Must be willing to float to other units in the hospital and have the ability to adapt to changing workloads.
- Eligible for the Choose Southern Indiana Program, which offers $5,000 to recent college graduates (within 6 months) from within Indiana or experienced workers from out-of-state that move to and gain employment.
