This position requires the candidate to work onsite 50% of the time in the Bothell, WA office.
The SAP Functional Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP solutions to support business objectives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to translate business requirements into scalable SAP functional designs while ensuring best practices, system integrity, and successful delivery across the SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the functional lead for SAP implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support initiatives
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Lead solution design workshops and drive SAP best-practice adoption
- Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions
- Provide functional guidance and mentorship to SAP analysts and consultants
- Lead or support system integrations with upstream and downstream applications
- Ensure solutions align with compliance, security, and governance standards
- Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution
- Assist with cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-implementation support
- 8+ years of SAP functional experience with at least 2–3 years in a lead role
- Hands‑on experience in one or more SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM, HCM)
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end business processes and SAP best practices
- Experience leading SAP implementations or major transformation programs (e.g., ECC to S/4
HANA) - Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional designs
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Pay Range:$70 to $80 per hour, depending upon experience.
