Logistics Research Specialist; Security Clearance

Position: Logistics Research Specialist (5461) with Security Clearance
Location: Keyport

GVI, Inc. seeks an Engineering Tech IV to provide logistics and technical support on behalf of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport. Responsibilities:
Data Management
• Update vendor part information in the OMIS™ database with the Obsolescence status, Point of Contact information, Survey Notes, and generate alerts for obsolescence status issues.
• Conduct assessments related to system components and support material readiness.
• Conduct research associated with technical refresh objectives and obsolescence issue resolution.
• Conduct parts research to support mitigating system level, component, and support material deficiencies.
• Maintain data repositories so all related engineering, supply support, and technical data is readily available for open and closed issues.
• Evaluate configuration changes for impacts to material readiness and supply support products.
• Prepare monthly reports and other reports as needed.
• Attend customer meetings and training briefs onsite as needed.
• Attend customer meetings and training briefs online as needed. Requirements:
• Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• 1 year Data Management experience preferred.
