Summary

The Echo/Ultrasound Technologist shall perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular studies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high quality echocardiograms, stress echos and general ultrasound including abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Competently set up and assist radiologist and pathologist during procedures.
  • Work with the EMR’s to generate and complete exam orders.
  • Perform, record, and analyze QC data to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning the work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound.
  • RDCS registered, preferred or obtain after hire.
  • RVT registrations, preferred or obtain after hire.
  • RDMS(AB,OB-GYN), preferred or obtain after hire.
  • BLS required, or obtain within 6 months of hire.
