Allied Travel Careers  is working with Windsor Healthcare Recruitment Group, Inc. to find a qualified Ultrasound in Washington, Iowa, 52353!

SUMMARY The Ultrasound Technologist shall perform general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following) Perform high quality general ultrasound including abdomen and OB/GYN and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.

Competently set up and assist radiologist. Working with the EMR s to generate and complete exam orders. Perform, record, and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision. Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.

Regular attendance, including clocking in and out at scheduled times and minimal unplanned time off. Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge, by completing in-house education and competencies, learning new protocols, and new equipment training. Responsible for contacting service personnel and notifying supervisors of malfunctioning equipment Transporting patients Knowledge of PACS systems, releasing/transmitting images. Inform appropriate personnel of department supply needs ensuring uninterrupted testing.

Work well with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences. Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies Display and promote company values Other duties as assigned

Ability to maintain safe and effective patient care Strong written and verbal communications skills with prevalent professional demeanor Ability to use active listening skills to interpret the needs of the patient. Ability to mentor, train, motivate, direct and empower team Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation Ability to work independently Flexibility in schedule. Willing to adjust hours, as needed.
