The Echo/Ultrasound Technologist shall perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular studies.
Responsibilities- Perform high quality echocardiograms, stress echos and general ultrasound including abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Competently set up and assist radiologist and pathologist during procedures.
- Work with the EMR’s to generate and complete exam orders.
- Perform, record, and analyze QC data to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning the work area, and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
- Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound.
- RDCS registered, preferred or obtain after hire.
- RVT registrations, preferred or obtain after hire.
- RDMS(AB,OB-GYN), preferred or obtain after hire.
- BLS required, or obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to maintain safe and effective patient care.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a prevalent professional demeanor.
- Ability to use active listening skills to interpret the needs of the patient.
- Ability to mentor, train, motivate, direct, and empower team.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility in schedule; willing to adjust hours as needed and cover other shifts.
- Highly motivated.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing, and regulated environment; able to triage situations to complete tasks.
- Effective time management.
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
