PositionAssistant Director of Healthcare Services (ADON) – Halcyon House
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the DON for nursing leadership across Long-Term Care, Skilled, and Memory-Care areas
- Orientate, train, and provide ongoing training and supervision to employees
- Assist in evaluating healthcare services needed for each resident
- Serve as liaison for staff shift transitions
- Plan, develop, and oversee staffing schedules
- Schedule and conduct in-services meetings for staff
- Prepare and participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies
- Partner with the DON for nursing operation efficiencies
- Oversee infection control program and reporting
- Communicate with physicians and family members regarding resident status as appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Audit skills of nursing staff
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Iowa, graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting
- Knowledgeable of state and federal regulations, quality assurance, compliance, and clinical practices
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills to develop/supervise nursing personnel in a team environment
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and skilled in effective delegation
