The Facilities Director is responsible for managing the renovation, repairs, maintenance, cleaning, grounds, utilities and safety program for the hospital and clinic facilities. This role is the safety officer for the organization which includes oversight of security personnel. Responsibilities include Environment of Care and the maintenance and repair of all owned equipment. The Facilities Director ensures all standards and codes of the State of Washington, MFPA and other regulatory agencies are met or exceeded.
This position assumes responsibility for all aspects of Food & Nutrition services and ensures a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction of Food & Nutrition Services. This includes oversight of all food service-related activities, including: patient food service, retail, cafeteria, catering, and other food service, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities. Plant Operations, Environmental Services, Security and Food and Nutrition report directly to the Facilities Director.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in hospital facilities management or a related setting, with five (5) years spent in a leadership role required. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Facilities Management, Food Services Technology/Management or related degree required.
