Quality Inspector I – Life Port

Located in Woodland, WA, Life Port is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Position Overview

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the inspection process. Compiles and evaluates inspection data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. This is an entry level quality control inspector position requiring one year related experience and/or training or a combination of both.

Essential Functions
  • Interpret engineering blueprints, source control drawings, and OEM part verification.
  • Select articles for inspection at specified stages in the production process, and test products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • Use precision inspection tools to inspect part features.
  • Evaluate data and record results to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Verify complete assembly per engineering.
  • Verify certification records for all materials used in production.

  • Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of alloys and material certifications for product acceptance.
  • Must be proficient using most precision inspection tools to obtain measurements.
Education, Certifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.

All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
