Press Operator, Web Offset; Day Shift

Signature Graphics is a locally-owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington with approximately 150 employees. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for a Press Operator to operate our Cold- and Heat-set Web Offset Printing presses at our Spokane (Airway Heights) plant.

The Press Operator operates the Cold- and Heat-set Web Offset Printing presses with make-readies, running press equipment operations, performing quality control functions and enforcing the safety rules. This position is a leadership role and will assist in directing the work activities of the press crew members to ensure productivity, quality and safety goals are met. This position also must have at least 5 years of experience on multiple web, four-color cold- and heat-set press and thorough knowledge of Web Press printing processes.

COMPENSATION: Non-exempt (hourly) wage

OTHER DUTIES

Other duties as assigned including quality control and cleaning of work area.

Some overtime needed to support production deadlines and unanticipated events.

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Press Operator on multi-web, four-color coldest and/or heatset offset presses
• Must have thorough knowledge of Web Press printing processes
• Must follow safety guidelines at all times
• Must regularly lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
• Basic proficiency in English

DAY SHIFT: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday–Friday
