Overview
Grinder Operator (Saw Tipping/Grinding) at Burton Mill Solutions, Woodland, WA. This role involves working in a manufacturing environment to produce commercial saws used across the wood processing industry, ensuring high-quality, precision-ground components to meet customer demands and production targets.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Pay range: $20.00 - $23.00 USD Hourly
Responsibilities- Review and follow manufacturing orders (MOs) upholding quality control standards
- Load and unload saws from multiple grinding machines
- Set up machine parameters per customer specifications
- Basic programming and adjust tip grinders
- Identify and change grinding wheels
- Collaborate with technician to troubleshoot minor machine problems
- General cleaning of machines and area, add coolant to machines when needed
- Cross-train to other positions as requested
- Actively participate in LEAN training as requested, provide observations and suggestions, implement continuous improvements, and promote and adhere to safety standards
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Machine Operator, preferably as a Grinder Operator
- Work well with coworkers to troubleshoot problems
- Able to accomplish daily work requirements to meet customer demands
- Ability to speak and read English, and do basic math
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
