Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Millwright role at a manufacturing facility in Woodland, WA. Our client is a well-established industry leader in flexible packaging, recognized for producing high-quality, safe products while operating with integrity, accountability, and compassion. This role is essential to supporting continuous improvement and maintaining reliable manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, place, align, level, and secure machinery and equipment on production lines according to specifications, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and mechanical or electrical failures to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production and electrical equipment.
- Assemble, test, and maintain electrical equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Dismantle, repair, and replace defective electrical and mechanical components such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete electrical circuits per diagram specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and other mechanical safety practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to meet deadlines and production goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize basic office equipment and software as required.
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- 4–6 years of electrical machine troubleshooting, repair, and machining experience.
- Technical school or skilled trade program preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Basic hydraulic knowledge and experience with stick welding, cutting, arc gouging, and wire welding.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, bending, twisting, and fine motor work.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor warehouse environments with moderate temperature control.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Occasional travel as needed.
