Our high-energy, fast-paced 30-bed Med/Surg unit provides exceptional care for both adult and pediatric patients
. While our primary patient population is adults (18+), we typically care for 1-2 pediatric patients per month.
We specialize in caring for a diverse range of medical and post-operative patients, including but not limited to:
- Orthopedic procedures (knees, hips, shoulders)
- General surgeries (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resections)
- Bariatric surgery
- Sepsis, pancreatitis, and stable pneumothorax
Our nurse-to-patient ratio averages 1:6, supported by a strong team of Patient Care Associates (PCAs). The unit is known for its teamwork, compassion, dedication, and clinical excellence - making it a great place to learn, grow, and make a difference every day.
Position OverviewWork alongside skilled RNs and LPNs to help our patients achieve their highest level of wellness through personalized care.
What You’ll DoPatient Care Associate (PCA) Responsibilities:
- Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records
- Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport
- Provide clerical support as needed
- Perform PCA duties plus:
- Phlebotomy & blood cultures
- Enteral feeding, wound care
- IV and Foley catheter removal
- Trach care and suctioning
Our accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offers hands-on, comprehensive training
New hires complete a 175-hour training program as part of orientation (no prior experience needed!)
BLS certification required within one month of hire
Complete PCA competencies within 3 months to stay on the team
- High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs
- No prior experience required - we provide full training!
- Physical ability to lift/push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks
- Preferred:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
