Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

About Our Unit

Welcome to our 30-bed Med/Surg unit, where teamwork, accountability, and support are the foundation of our culture.
You‘ll care for a variety of patients including:

• GI & Oncology

• Post-Op Recovery

• COPD & Pneumonia

• UTI & Dehydration

• Complex Wound Care

RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
Supported by Patient Care Associates on every shift

✅ Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)

• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a RN required.

Certifications

Required:

• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• BLS – Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire)

• Any unit-specific certifications (with timeline for completion)

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs

• Prolonged standing/walking throughout shift

• Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat as needed
