The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

The role described combines responsibilities of a Starbucks Barista within Target’s Food & Beverage operations. The position includes delivering guest experiences, preparation of handcrafted beverages and food, and supporting efficient store operations in alignment with Starbucks standards and Target policies.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, connecting with guests to deliver quality handcrafted beverages and food during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food and Beverage Standards, all Starbucks’ brand standards and food safety standards
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, defect, signing and backstock
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities within Starbucks
• Support Drive Up and other guest services to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests all day, every day
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations per Starbucks standards
• Produce items to specifications on production cards and follow department routines
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items; complete and record all cleaning tasks
• Follow packaging and labeling guidelines for food products and comply with food safety requirements
• Identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to best practice
• Ensure accurate in-stocks and follow perishable inventory procedures
• Perform sampling and maintain a welcoming guest experience
• Engage with guests, ask questions to understand needs, and be knowledgeable about Total Store tools and services
• Complete required trainings related to quality control and maintain safety and compliance
• Work safely, identify hazards, and comply with safety policies
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) with adherence to applicable laws

• Working in a fun and energetic environment, delivering for guests as a team
• Providing service that makes guests say, I LOVE TARGET
• Stocking, setting and selling Target products
• Ability to handle a busy schedule, including weekends and holidays

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and technology as directed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong guest question resolution, attention to detail, and multi-step processes
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders; handle and move merchandise up to 44 pounds
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and allergens
• Maintain mobility for the duration of a shift
