Head Start and/or Early Head Start Classroom Substitute

As needed, not to exceed 8 hours a day

$17.28–$19.59 per hour

We are a fast‑paced, high‑demand non‑profit program that depends on every employee to keep our centers running smoothly. This role offers diverse experience working with at‑risk populations.

• Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff.
• Support classroom activities and lesson implementation.
• Promote positive child interactions and development.
• Assist with daily routines and caregiving tasks.

• Minimum Education: High school diploma; CDA credential to be completed within two years of hire.
• Preferred Education: Child Development Associate (CDA) or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Experience: Working with young children.
• Preferred Experience: 2 years in early childhood education with direct experience with at‑risk populations or Head Start experience.
• Personal Characteristics: Compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team‑player.
• Physical Abilities: Able to lift 30 pounds.
