PositionHead Start and/or Early Head Start Classroom Substitute

HoursAs needed, not to exceed 8 hours a day
Pay$17.28–$19.59 per hour
Job OverviewWe are a fast‑paced, high‑demand non‑profit program that depends on every employee to keep our centers running smoothly. This role offers diverse experience working with at‑risk populations.
Responsibilities and Duties- Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff.
- Support classroom activities and lesson implementation.
- Promote positive child interactions and development.
- Assist with daily routines and caregiving tasks.
- Minimum Education: High school diploma; CDA credential to be completed within two years of hire.
- Preferred Education: Child Development Associate (CDA) or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
- Experience: Working with young children.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years in early childhood education with direct experience with at‑risk populations or Head Start experience.
- Personal Characteristics: Compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team‑player.
- Physical Abilities: Able to lift 30 pounds.
