• Formalize lesson plans weekly for the upcoming instructional period
• Relate instructional objectives to curriculum standards and demonstrate effective decision-making concerning instructional goals
• Determine students’ performance using informal and formal assessment and observation
• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program
• Use a variety of instructional materials such as contextual, supplemental, teacher-constructed, teaching bulletin boards, audio‑visual, hands‑on, discovery and activity‑based learning
• Maintain accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students
• Train and supervise teacher assistants within the classroom
• Meet with parents throughout the year to discuss the child’s progress
• Attend Open House, Back to School Night, Teacher In‑Service days, all weekly staff meetings, and weekly teacher curriculum meetings

As an IACET accredited provider, Apple Montessori Schools offers IACET CEUs for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard. IACET is recognized internationally as a standard‑development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality of continuing education and training.

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Elementary Education preferred)
• Montessori experience preferred
• NAMC preferred or willing to obtain within the first year of employment
• Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally
• Experience with lesson planning and development
• Ability to multi‑task and function in an ever‑changing environment

Final compensation is determined based on a combination of factors, including years of experience in a similar role, relevant certifications and/or credentials, and the size and/or geographic location of the school.
