Join the Apple Montessori Schools team. As an Educational Director, you will be a leader of educational excellence who supports both students and educators.

Location: Various Apple Montessori Locations (Mahwah, Oakland, Paramus, NJ)

At Apple Montessori Schools, Educational Directors are leaders in educational excellence who support both students and educators. In this role you’ll partner with families, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality Montessori practices across the school.

• Partner with families to support students’ learning journeys.
• Mentor and coach teachers, providing feedback and professional development.
• Oversee program quality, compliance, and classroom environments.
• Ensure implementation of high‑quality Montessori practices.
• Maintain transparent communication with families through events, conferences, and workshops.
• Serve as a trusted leader supporting staff growth, retention, and a positive, collaborative school culture.
• Travel to multiple sites and support opening and closing shifts as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or a related field.
• Montessori certification at the Early Childhood level (AMS, AMI, NAMC or equivalent) preferred or willing to obtain.
• Minimum of 3 years in early childhood education.
• 1 year of experience as a supervisor or coordinator.
• Knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and methods.
• Strong mentorship and communication skills.
• Experience with educational technology and administrative tools (e.g., Pro Care, Salesforce, Vector).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage staff, parents, and the community.
• Flexibility with scheduling and location, including travel to multiple sites.

• Office-based. Requires full range of body motion, including bending, sitting, and standing during the workday.
• May require working under stressful conditions; flexibility in response to staffing needs.
• Must be regularly available for required hours per day and weekends as requested.
• Perform duties onsite unless otherwise indicated and approved.

Final compensation is determined by years of experience, certifications, and the school’s size or location.

$50,000 - $65,000 / year
